FilmWeb is a 28-week program designed to empower middle
school and high school youth to be proponents of positive change in their
schools. Through cyber-communities, participants will work
collaboratively with youth throughout their school and school district to
produce socially relevant films that encourage positive change. Students will also gain hands-on film
experience. These skills will prepare youth for the digital age.
Participating students will
use cutting edge software, computers and equipment, including high definition
camcorders and video editing software used by professional filmmakers. Students will also have the opportunity to learn
from and work with a professional filmmaker who will serve in the school as the
Resident Artist for two semesters.
